These links on the right will provide you with more information about the campaign to get SuperFast Broadband into Hilton

You may remember I emailed you back in December 2010, to ask for your support during BT’s “Race to Infinity” campaign, although I am afraid we were not successful that time, your efforts were fantastic, and we came an amazing 19th out of 2495 eligible exchanges (out of a total of 5444 exchanges across the country), so a tremendous result, and a demonstration of how keen Hilton residents are to get better Internet access.

I firmly believe that one of the best ways to make a difference is to “shout loud”, and get yourself noticed, and to that end Connecting Cambridgeshire was launched in 2012 to provide access to superfast broadband to at least 90% of homes and businesses across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, and better broadband connections for all other premises by 2015.

Part of the prioritisation for roll out will be given to those communities who demonstrate demand and interest, and I asked you to  register your interest at

Thanks to your tremendous support, again we did a great job and we were 8th highest in the county with a total of 81.5% properties registering.

(Revised Sept 2013) I am sure that this went along way to getting us into the plans for second phase of the roll-out which is scheduled to deliver connectivity from June 2014 through to December 2014

Broadband services from a range of internet service providers will be available to premises on a rolling basis during this period as infrastructure is built and completed.

PLEASE BE AWARE that this does not necessarily indicate inclusion in the first phase as this will be dependent on the outcome of surveys and more detailed planning.
