Feast Week News January 2010

The Feast Week Committee would like to thank everyone that turned up to make the Hilton Live Nativity Tableau such a wonderful occasion, helping raise funds for the Church Roof Restoration Appeal and for Feast Week. Hilary Holmes must be congratulated on coordinating such a wonderful festive event as must all the participants. From the builders of the manger to the mince pie makers/donators, the Huntingdon Town Band, the readers, shepherds and not least the angelic children that kept on looking angelic despite the plummeting temperature!

Thanks to all of you that demonstrated your support for Feast Week by buying a Winter Grand Draw ticket. The sale of these tickets really does help toward staging Feast Week. Proof that you ‘have to be in it to win it?’ the lucky winners are: 1st Place £100 - J Rounce - Maze Road, 2nd Place £75 - A Cockwell – Westbrook, 3rd Place - £50 - D Ruddy - Kidmans

Saturday 27th March – With the popularity of the Adult quiz showing no signs of fading we thought it would be a great idea to see who Hilton’s brainiest families are? We invite you and yours to participate in our ‘Family Quiz’  entry only £5 per family with an adult bar, ‘raffle’, kids bar, hot dogs.

Saturday 24th April – ‘Bavarian night with Oom-pah band and bratwurst’ If you haven’t experienced the unbridled joy that is a night with good company, good food, good beer and wine accompanied by an Oom-pah band then you are missing out on what will be one of the nights of this years fundraising calendar.

I am also happy to announce that the theme for Feast Week will be ‘Disney.’
Adults and children alike have all been charmed by the magic of Disney and will, I am sure be able to draw inspiration from all that fine body of work to put toward their floats and artwork creative contributions.
