Walter Starling 1812-1867 Print

Walter Starling 1812 - 1867

Walter Starling was named after his grandmother's father, Walter Reynolds.
Walter never married. In 1841 he is found in Front Street, Offord Cluny working as an Agricultural Labourer and staying in lodgings. By 1851 he is living in Hilton with his brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Elizabeth Starling, and working as a Labourer.
By 1861 he is living on the High Street in Hilton, but he has the comparatively exotic occupation of being an "Itinerant Vendor of Medicines". Sadly, what ever it was that he sold, it wasn't efficacious enough for him as he died in 1867.
