Bus Funding Consulatation Print

CONSULTATION ON THE REVIEW OF THE DECISION
TO REMOVE ALL SUBSIDISED BUS SERVICE FUNDING

About 80% of the Cambridgeshire bus services are provided by commercial operators without subsidy, but some services are unable to operate on a commercial basis. Subsidies may soon not be available. The Council needs to save around £540 million over the next 5 years and some of these savings will have to come from the transport budget.

Reviews are being carried out as part of this years budget planning, and we are seeking views on the principle of making cuts. Also looking back at the routes that have already been cut and gathering feedback on how this has affected communities in these areas.

Your views are an important part of this process.

The County Council welcomes comments you may have about cut back proposals.
